Viper-Camlink Cameralink Framegrabber

framegrabber

Viper Camlink framegrabber
An advanced cameralink framegrabber interface that supports all Cameralink modes of opperation up to the full 8 tap implementation. With true 0% host cpu overhead and capture rates up to 200MBytes /second the Viper cameralink interfaces to any cameralink device.

The Viper camlink is compatable with the advanced pixel processor for cusom preprocessing applications and the Mamba embedded Vision accelerator.

Notes   Features

Capable of acquiring at rates up to 200 MB/sec., the Viper-CamLink framegrabber features two 32-bit wide input channels providing 8, 16, or 32 bit/pixel formats. Acquiring pixels at 50MHz, the Viper-CamLink can transfer images directly into host computer system memory or to the Mamba using the CAB. The Viper-CameraLink supports input resolutions from 32x32 to 64k pixels x 256k lines.

The Viper-CamLink utilizes the Intel i960 RISC embedded processor and PCI interface device. As an intelligent I/O controller, the i960 processor supports PCI bus master and scatter-gather for maximum PCI performance. Additionally, its
on-board memory allows images to be buffered during busy cycles on the PCI bus, ensuring no image data is ever lost.
