CCS Collimated Co-Axial and Backlight Illumination Systems
The
Collimated Co-axial Illlumination System.
This
provides collimated
or parallel light in the same axis as the camera. This specialist
illumination technique is particularly suited to inspecting
small, shiny objects. Examples where collimation has been particularly
useful are: inspecting the surface of lenses for scratches and
defects, inspecting laser characters on a lead frame, inspecting
for warping and defects in flat shiny objects and looking for
flaws on the surface of a CD.
Collimated Backlight Illumination System
Using collimated backlight illumination, stray reflections can be suppressed even when the distance between the light source and the object is
short. This enables precision dimensional measurement to be taken. This method of illumination also allows accurate visualisation and measurements
of glass (or other transparent objects) with no blurring or loss of contrast due to light refraction. This product is made to order on request.
