The HLV system from CCS is a replacement light source for fibre optic systems that uses an array of high intensity LED's in a compact housing that can directly take the place of more expensive and heavier halogen light sources, with a much shorter life span. In addition, there is less need for expensive light guides as the HLV can be sited close to the work. Another advantageis the ability to strobe the lights and get full intensity narrow band illumination in a range of colours, not possible with Halogen. The new 3W very high intensity versions can deliver even more powerful illumination
