There are a variety of different lens formats in common use,
but C-Mount lenses (industrial lenses) are the most common type
used for machine vision. There is a shorter variant of this
mount, called CS-Mount. C-mount lenses are often used with CCD
sizes of 1/3inch;, 1/2inch; and 2/3inch. To avoid vignetting,
ensure that the lens supports a CCD size equal or larger than
the camera being used.
The CCS macro lens systems are very cost effective vision tools, designed to provide different levels of magnification by using multiple, interchangable elements. They also provide co-axial through the lens illumination
Different kits are available to suit a range of applications.
Produces a concentrated beem of illumination directly on to the work piece.

Lens Accessories & Filters
There
are many different filters available, such as: infrared
filters, ultra violet filters, band pass filters and polarizer's.
If you cannot find what you need, please call to discuss
your exact requirements. It is important to know the filter
thread size you require before ordering.
For
more filter options and other light conditioning optics,

C-Mount Extension
Rings
Extensions
rings enable the working distance of a lens to be reduced.
The trade when using them is an inability to focus to
infinity. Firstsight offer kits in low quantity and also
individual rings in volume.

extension rings have on a selection of lenses
Illumination Mounts
Firstsight
supply a range of Illuminators that fit directly to the filter
thread of a lens. For more information on these and other illumination
products, please go to our illumination section by following
